Chevening Scholarships enable outstanding emerging leaders from all over the world to pursue one-year Master's degrees in the UK. The program is designed for individuals with the passion and influence to solve pressing local, national, or global challenges.
The scholarship is fully funded, allowing scholars to focus on their professional goals and the experience of living and studying in the UK. During the one-year program, scholars develop professionally and academically, network extensively, and build lasting relationships with the UK.
There is no typical Chevening Scholar, but successful applicants generally demonstrate ambition, leadership qualities, and a clear vision for their future. The program welcomes applicants regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, marriage or parenthood status, caste, or class.
Upon completing their studies, scholars join a global community of over 60,000 alumni. This network includes 22 current or former heads of state or government and professionals across various fields, providing ongoing support and connections.
The program is supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and various partner organizations. It aims to equip exceptional leaders with a UK education to shape a better future.
