MBBS in Russia & CIS Countries
WHO & PMDC/PMC recognized MBBS programs across 6 countries. Europe-standard education at affordable costs.
About MBBS in Russia & CIS
Russia and the CIS region give Pakistani students a choice of six countries - Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus - all with WHO and PMDC/PMC-recognized MBBS programs. Annual tuition starts from $2,500 in Kyrgyzstan up to $7,000 at top Russian universities, with living costs lower than Western Europe.
Each country has a distinct profile. Russia offers the longest track record and highest-ranked universities. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have the lowest fees. Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are Muslim-majority countries, offering a more familiar cultural environment. Belarus is in Central Europe with a strong tradition in basic sciences.
One honest note: while all six countries advertise English-medium programs, clinical years (4-6) involve patient interaction in the local language. Budget time for Russian or the local language from Year 1 - students who do this consistently report a far better clinical experience. The Russian Government Scholarship offers fully funded seats with deadlines in November-January.
