You do not need to visit a consultant's office to get MBBS admission in China. Admission is handled between you, the Chinese university and the embassy, mostly online, so an MBBS in China consultant in Pakistan can work with you from Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar or a small town just as well. What matters is whether the consultant is honest, transparent about money and able to prove each step. A shop front on a main road proves none of that.

This guide explains what really needs a physical visit in your city, what can be done from your phone, and how to check any consultant before you hand over documents or money. It is written for students and parents who are tired of thin city listings with a phone number and a promise.

Do you need an MBBS in China consultant in your own city?

No. Think about who actually makes the decisions in your application:

  • The Chinese university decides on your admission and issues the admission notice and visa form.
  • The Chinese embassy or consulate decides on your student visa.
  • PM&DC decides whether your university and degree count toward registration in Pakistan.

None of these three sits inside a consultant's office. A consultant's job is to collect your documents correctly, apply on your behalf, explain the fees, and warn you when something is wrong. That work is done through documents, email, calls and chat. Distance does not change it.

There is one fair reason to like a local office: some parents feel safer meeting a person face to face. That is a reasonable feeling. But a visit proves very little. A rented room and a signboard are easy to set up. A better test is whether the consultant can show you the university's official fee sheet, the official admission notice and a clear, written list of what you pay and to whom. You can ask for all of these online.

What do Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad students actually need to do in person?

Most of the in-person work in a China MBBS application is not the consultant's work at all. It is your own paperwork and your visa. The rules have changed recently, so check each office before travelling.

Document attestation

Your matric and intermediate certificates normally go through IBCC first. IBCC has its head office in Islamabad and regional offices in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Bahawalpur and Quetta, and you can apply at any of them. Its attestation page describes three modes: appointment (documents returned the same day), courier (about 10 working days) and express (about an hour). Courier is currently offered only through the Islamabad secretariat and the Karachi regional office. Our IBCC attestation and equivalence guide walks through the portal and the paperwork.

After IBCC, documents usually need MOFA attestation. According to ProPakistani, MOFA launched a digital attestation system on 12 October 2026 at its Islamabad headquarters and liaison offices in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Gujrat. You apply on the portal, pay the fee and receive an e-certificate by email. Some files may still need physical verification, so read the portal's instructions before you go anywhere. See our MOFA attestation and e-certificate guide for details.

HEC attestation applies to university degrees, not to your school certificates. Eduvision reported that HEC moved to a fully online, paperless system from 11 May 2026, with no physical visit or courier of originals. For a fresh MBBS applicant this usually does not apply, because you have no degree yet.

Whatever you read on a consultant's page about "same-day attestation in your city", confirm it against the IBCC and MOFA sites. These processes are changing, and old blog posts are often wrong.

Medical check, police certificate and photos

You will need a medical examination, a police character certificate and passport photos. The Chinese medical form should be completed at a hospital the embassy accepts. Ask the embassy or the visa centre which hospitals are accepted before you pay for tests. Our police certificate and medical report guide covers this step.

The visa application

The student visa is the one step where your location can matter. The official Chinese visa application service site lists three centres in Pakistan and says applicants should apply at the centre that covers their place of residence. It says the Islamabad centre covers the capital, Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and nearby areas, the Karachi centre covers Sindh and Balochistan, and the Lahore centre covers Punjab except Rawalpindi.

So a student in Peshawar normally deals with Islamabad, a student in Hyderabad with Karachi, and a student in Faisalabad with Lahore. Opening hours, fees and what the centre accepts do change, so check the official visa site before you go. Students applying for a long-term study visa need the university's JW202 form (JW201 for government-funded students) and the admission notice. Third-party guides give different passport validity rules, so ask the visa centre for the current requirement instead of trusting a blog.

If you are in Lahore

Lahore has an IBCC regional office, a MOFA liaison office and a Chinese visa centre, so you can finish most steps without leaving the city. The main cost is time. Book IBCC by appointment so you are not waiting in a queue all day.

If you are in Karachi

Karachi has all three services too, and IBCC courier is available there. Students from Balochistan are told to apply at the Karachi visa centre, so parents travelling from Quetta should plan that trip early.

If you are in Islamabad or Rawalpindi

You are closest to the head offices and the embassy. That helps, but do not assume it makes things instant. Online portals at IBCC, MOFA and HEC mean many tasks can be started from home.

If you are in Peshawar

Peshawar has IBCC and MOFA offices, but the visa application goes through the Islamabad centre. Plan one trip to Islamabad for the visa, and bundle other errands into it.

If you are in a smaller city or village

You can start online with IBCC and MOFA and travel only for what truly needs it. For flights, PIA announced in June 2026 that it resumes direct Islamabad to Beijing flights from 3 July 2026 and has a ticketing tie-up with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines for onward travel. Check current schedules with the airlines. Most students fly from Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi with a connection.

Which universities can you even choose from?

A consultant should shortlist only universities that are recognised for English-medium medicine in China and acceptable to PM&DC. Ask for both checks, in writing.

On China's side, the Ministry of Education publishes a list of institutions allowed to enrol international students in English-taught clinical medicine. Schools outside that list can only offer Chinese-taught programmes to foreign medical students. We keep a list of MOE-listed universities in China and a MOE-listed universities page. Always compare against the ministry's latest notice.

On Pakistan's side, ProPakistani reported in October 2025 that PM&DC allows only graduates of PM&DC-recognised foreign medical universities to get provisional registration and house jobs, while graduates of non-recognised universities must pass the National Registration Examination. That story also said PM&DC and graduate representatives disagree on how many people are affected, and that practice did not always match the announced policy. So do not accept "all MOE universities are recognised" as a fact. Check pmdc.pk for the current list and notices, and read our PMDC registration explainer.

MDCAT is another point where consultants say different things. Read whether MDCAT is required for MBBS abroad and check the PM&DC notice for your intake instead of relying on a salesperson.

What does MBBS in China cost, and what should a consultant tell you?

Fees are where weak consultants lose trust. A trustworthy one gives you the university's own fee sheet and explains every line. On our university pages, annual tuition for English-taught MBBS at China-listed universities ranges from about RMB 12,000 to RMB 75,000, with most in the RMB 30,000 to 50,000 band. Hostel, visa extension, insurance and a medical check are extra, and the first year often includes one-time charges. See our MBBS in China page for the university-by-university tables.

Two things to ask every consultant:

  1. Which amounts go to the university, and which go to anyone else?
  2. Is the admission deposit counted toward tuition, and is it refundable if the visa is refused?

Where possible, university fees should be paid to the university's official account, not a personal one. If a consultant adds a service fee, it should be written down before you pay anything. Our complete guide to MBBS in China explains the full cost structure.

How do you verify a consultant's office is real?

If you do visit an office, or if you are checking an online consultant, run through this list:

  • Ask for the company's registration details and check them with SECP or the relevant registrar.
  • Ask for the university's fee sheet and admission letter on official letterhead, and confirm the university's contact details on its own website, not from the consultant.
  • Never pay university fees into a personal account, and never pay cash without a receipt.
  • Be careful with anyone who guarantees admission, a scholarship or a visa. Nobody can.
  • Be careful if you are told a seat will vanish tonight unless you pay now.
  • Ask for names of current students from your city, then speak to them directly.
  • Read the written agreement before signing. A refund policy should be on paper.

Pakistani media has reported fraud cases involving study-abroad agents, including FIA action. Our guide to spotting a fake study-abroad consultant goes through the red flags in more detail. If an agent charges you for a government scholarship application, treat that as a scam: those applications are free.

Is online MBBS counselling in Pakistan as good as an office visit?

It can be better, if it is done properly. Online counselling means you get written replies you can keep, documents you can check and a consultant who can speak to the university in China during Chinese working hours. A bad consultant is just as bad online, so the verification list above applies equally.

A good online process looks like this:

  1. You share your marks, budget and city, and you get an honest view of which universities fit.
  2. You receive the official fee sheet and a clear list of documents.
  3. The consultant reviews your scans before you spend money on attestation.
  4. Applications are submitted, and you see the confirmation.
  5. After the offer, you get the visa form guidance, interview preparation and a pre-departure briefing.

You can read the full application process in our step-by-step guide to applying for MBBS in China and check your paperwork against the international documents checklist.

How does Titans Abroad work for students in Pakistani cities?

Titans Abroad works online-first. We do not ask you to visit an office, and we do not publish an office address. Students from every city and town get the same help through chat and email, and we reply within 24 hours. We also have a team member based in China, which helps when a question needs a quick answer from the university side.

We do not charge a consultation or guidance fee, and we only recommend universities that are PM&DC-approved and, for China, MOE-listed. If a programme is not right for you, we will say so. Our services run from shortlisting to an offer letter, IBCC, MOFA and embassy document help, JW202 and visa preparation, interview coaching and a pre-departure briefing. You can read what past students say on our student reviews page, and you can reach us through the contact page or start on the application form.

That said, do not take our word for it. Run the same checks on us that you would on anyone else. Ask for the fee sheets, ask what we are paid and by whom, and compare our answers with the university and PM&DC.

What if your visa is refused?

A refusal is stressful, but it is often fixable. Common causes are incomplete documents, unclear funds or an inconsistent story. Our visa rejection guide lists the usual reasons, and our proof of funds guide explains how to prepare bank documents. Before you pay a deposit, ask in writing what happens to it if the visa is refused.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best MBBS in China consultant in Lahore?

No one can be named best in a fair way, because no public ranking or independent audit exists. Instead of looking for a name, check what a consultant can prove: official fee sheets, written fees, PM&DC and MOE checks, and students you can speak to. Lahore students can also use our free, online-first counselling without visiting any office.

Is there an MBBS in China consultant in Karachi?

Yes, several consultants advertise in Karachi, and you can also work with an online consultant from Karachi. The city has an IBCC regional office, a MOFA liaison office and a Chinese visa centre, so the paperwork is manageable locally. Whichever consultant you pick, verify registration, fees and recognition before paying anything.

Do I need to visit a consultant's office?

No. University admission is decided by the university, and the visa by the embassy, so the process can run through documents, email and calls. You only need to travel for things like IBCC or MOFA appointments if you cannot do them online, the medical check, and the visa application. A visit to an office does not prove the consultant is honest.

Can I get MBBS in China counselling online from Islamabad?

Yes. Online counselling works from Islamabad, Rawalpindi or anywhere else. You send your marks and documents, receive a shortlist and fee sheets, and apply remotely. Islamabad students are close to the head offices of IBCC and MOFA and to the Islamabad visa centre, so they may save travel time later.

How do I verify a local consultant's office is real?

Check company registration, ask for official university fee sheets and admission letters, and confirm the university's contact details on its own website. Do not pay into personal accounts or in cash without receipts. Speak to students from your city who went through that consultant. A signboard or a good-looking room proves nothing by itself.

Which documents must I attest in my city?

Usually matric and intermediate certificates go through IBCC, then MOFA. Degrees go through HEC, which is now online. The exact list depends on the university and the visa centre, so ask for the current checklist before you start. Use IBCC regional offices if you need to attend in person, and check each office's rules first.

How quickly can a consultant reply?

A good consultant replies to simple questions within a day. Titans Abroad replies to chat and email within 24 hours. A slow reply before you pay usually means slower help after you pay. If someone pressures you with deadlines but takes days to answer your questions, treat that as a warning sign.

Is free counselling available in my city?

Yes. Titans Abroad does not charge a consultation or guidance fee for students in any Pakistani city, and our scholarship guidance is free as well. Whoever you choose, ask what they charge and who pays it before you share your documents. Anyone asking for money to apply for a government scholarship is running a scam.

The practical answer

The best MBBS in China consultant in Pakistan for you is one you can verify, not one with the nearest office. Choose by process: official fee sheets, written costs, PM&DC and MOE checks, and fast replies. Use your city offices for what truly needs a visit, which is mostly attestation and the visa, and do everything else online. For next steps, read the application guide and compare options on our MBBS in China page.
