Western Australian Premier's University Scholarship

Each scholarship is valued at AUD $50,000, applied as a reduction against course tuition fees rather than paid out as cash, and is distributed across the early part of the recipient's program depending on the total cost of the course. Because it is a tuition-fee contribution rather than a full-cost living scholarship, recipients still need to budget for accommodation and living expenses in Perth or their host city, though the award materially lowers the overall cost of an Australian postgraduate degree.

Eligibility is targeted at first-time international students to Western Australia from a defined list of eligible countries/passport holders (including, among others, India, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Kenya, Brazil, and several others), who hold a full offer for a full-time postgraduate program of at least two years' duration commencing in the relevant semester, are eligible for an Australian Subclass 500 Student Visa, and are not already receiving another government or institutional scholarship.

Because the ten awards are split evenly across five separate universities and each institution runs its own selection process on top of the shared state government eligibility rules, applicants should apply directly through their chosen university's scholarship portal as soon as their program offer is confirmed, since university-level deadlines can close well before the general application window ends.
