The programme funds two main academic pathways: two-year Master's degrees (available in Czech, following a funded one-year preparatory language course, or in a smaller number of English-taught programmes) and three-to-four-year Doctoral degrees, which are conducted in English. Applicants who need the preparatory language course receive an additional funded year before their degree studies formally begin.

The Czech Republic offers a comparatively affordable European study destination with strong technical, engineering, and medical faculties at institutions such as Charles University, Czech Technical University in Prague, and Masaryk University, alongside a low cost of living relative to Western Europe.

Selected candidates apply directly through the ministry's online portal for the current cycle; unlike some similar programmes, this scholarship does not require prior embassy nomination, though eligibility is still restricted by nationality.
