Visegrad Scholarship Program

The program runs through two main mobility directions. The first, 'Intra-Visegrad', supports citizens of one V4 country studying in another V4 country. The second, and more relevant for students outside the immediate region, supports bidirectional mobility between the V4 and a list of Eastern Partnership and Western Balkans countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine. A citizen of one of these partner countries can study in a V4 country, and vice versa.

Because eligibility is tied to citizenship or long-term residence in the V4 or the specified partner countries, the Visegrad Scholarship Program is not open to applicants from outside this defined region - Pakistani nationals without residence or citizenship ties to a V4 or partner country are not eligible to apply. It is included here as a genuine, currently active regional scholarship for students who do hold citizenship or qualifying residence in one of the eligible countries, or for institutions/counsellors advising students from those regions.

Each scholar receives EUR 3,500 per semester, paid directly to the student, while the host institution receives an additional EUR 2,000 per semester to help cover administrative and academic support costs. All fields of study and any teaching language are accepted, provided the host university offers instruction and confirms admission in that language. Applications are submitted online through the Fund's 'My Visegrad' portal, alongside an acceptance letter from the host institution.
