University of Toronto International Scholar Award

The award is worth up to CAD 100,000 over four years of study, structured as up to CAD 40,000 in the first year and CAD 20,000 renewable in each of years two, three, and four, provided the student maintains full-time enrollment, completes at least 4.0 credits by the end of the Fall/Winter session, and meets Guaranteed Admission requirements.

No separate scholarship application is required; eligible students are automatically considered as part of the standard admissions review process once they receive an offer from one of the qualifying faculties or campuses, with a selection committee reviewing academic achievement and overall competitiveness of the admission file.

The University of Toronto also runs the separate, even more prestigious Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship (already well known and covered separately), but the International Scholar Award is a distinct, broader program that does not require a high-school nomination, making it accessible to a wider pool of strong international applicants.
