About the Rotary Peace Fellowships
The Rotary Peace Fellowship is a program designed for leaders with work experience in peace and development. Each year, The Rotary Foundation awards up to 50 fellowships for master's degrees and up to 120 for professional development certificate studies at premier partner universities.
Master's degree programs last 15 to 24 months and involve research-informed teaching. Participants design their own two- to three-month field study as part of the curriculum.
The professional development certificate program is a one-year blended learning course intended for working professionals. Participants gain practical skills, complete field studies, and design a social change initiative.
Since the program began in 2002, Rotary Peace Centers have trained more than 1,800 fellows. Alumni currently work in over 140 countries, serving in governments, NGOs, research institutions, and international organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank.
The fellowships are fully funded, covering tuition, fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and internship or field-study expenses.
