ORT Uruguay International Student Scholarship

The International Student Scholarship applies a 35% discount on tuition fees for ORT's postgraduate portfolio, which spans an MBA, a Master's in Digital Business, Master's in Marketing, Master's in Human Resources, Master's in Finance, Master's in Taxation, and related specialization diplomas run through the FACS (Facultad de Administración y Ciencias Sociales) school. It sits alongside a parallel 'International Executive Scholarship' aimed specifically at foreign managers who are relocating to Uruguay under a temporary work assignment, which carries the same 35% benefit but different eligibility documentation (employer/assignment proof rather than general relocation intent).

Eligibility is built around genuine relocation: applicants must be foreign nationals who are moving to Uruguay to study (not remote or short-term visitors), and they must sit and pass ORT's standard postgraduate admissions test as part of the university's regular admissions process. There is no nationality restriction, so Pakistani applicants are eligible on the same terms as any other international candidate, provided they meet ORT's general postgraduate admission requirements (a recognized bachelor's degree, CV, and in most programs a personal interview).

Because the discount is administered through ORT's Student Services office (SAE) rather than a separate scholarship committee, the process is comparatively fast: candidates apply to their chosen postgraduate program first, and once conditionally admitted, submit the scholarship request form referencing their international status. International Student Scholarship holders may also be eligible to combine or additionally apply for ORT's other scholarship funds (Academic Excellence, Entrepreneurs, Young Talents, and Social Scholarship Fund), though most discounts are not stackable beyond the program's stated maximum.

For a Pakistani student who wants a private, English- and Spanish-taught postgraduate option in South America with an internationally accredited business school (ORT's FACS holds AACSB-track partnerships) and a lower cost of living than most Western study destinations, this scholarship meaningfully reduces the financial barrier to studying in Montevideo, though it should be budgeted alongside living costs, visa/residency processing, and the remaining 65% of tuition which is not covered.
