Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LExS)

The program is open to students applying for most Master's degree programs at the university. Applicants must demonstrate excellent study results in their previous education, which is evaluated by the admissions board of the relevant faculty.

The scholarship is not a full-funding program. It provides a contribution toward tuition fees, with the amount varying depending on the specific award level granted to the student. Recipients are responsible for covering any remaining tuition costs and all living expenses.

Selection for the LExS is competitive. The university evaluates candidates based on their academic records, motivation, and the quality of their application materials. There is no separate application form for the scholarship, as candidates are considered based on their admission application.
