About the Danida Fellowship Programme Denmark
The Danida Fellowship Programme, administered by the Danida Fellowship Centre, supports Denmark's development cooperation by strengthening knowledge and capacity in partner countries. Funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, the center offers learning activities, supports development research, fosters university partnerships, and promotes knowledge sharing.
Participation in the programmes is limited to partners in Danida financed projects and programmes and professionals from eligible institutions who meet specific application requirements. Through its Master's Scholarship Programme, the center offers approximately 28 scholarships each year for two-year Master's programmes at Danish universities.
The scholarship focus is on fields related to the green agenda, including renewable energy, environmental protection, and sustainable food production. Priority in the selection process is given to young talents in Denmark's African partner countries, while six to eight scholarships target young individuals from partner organisations in Asia and Latin America.
In addition to Master's scholarships, the Danida Fellowship Centre designs and delivers learning activities aimed at strengthening individual competencies, enhancing institutional capacity, and supporting organisational change. The center also administers grants for development research and manages university partnership programmes such as the Knowledge and Innovation Programme and Building Stronger Universities.
