Armenian Government Scholarship (Intergovernmental Scholarship Program)

The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for the full duration of the chosen degree (typically four years for Bachelor's, two years for Master's, and three years for PhD), along with a modest monthly stipend intended to cover incidental expenses. Scholars also gain access to Armenia's state health insurance system and to subsidized university dormitories, along with discounted local transport and cultural-site access that many Armenian universities extend to international students. Renewal from year to year is generally contingent on maintaining satisfactory academic standing.

Fields of study span the full range offered at Armenian state universities, including medicine, engineering, humanities, and the natural sciences — a broader scope than many single-field regional scholarship programs. Yerevan, home to Armenia's leading state universities, has in recent years also become a recognized destination for MBBS-track medical education among South Asian students, making the medical and residency streams of particular interest to Pakistani applicants.

Because Armenia does not maintain the same scale of established, direct student-mobility pipeline with Pakistan that exists with some other countries, most applications are processed through diplomatic channels — meaning documents are typically routed through the applicant's home-country embassy or Armenia's own diplomatic missions abroad rather than a purely open online portal. Applicants should build in extra time for document legalization, translation into Armenian, Russian, or English, and notarization, since these formalities form a significant part of the intergovernmental application track.
